In basketball, it’s the point guard who has the ball in her hands at crunch time. In football, it’s the quarterback calling plays in the huddle. And in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) world, it’s the Project Executive who plays the pivotal leadership role.

Haskell’s industry-leading and fast-growing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) team is recruiting elite talent for several such positions.

The company has openings for Project Executives in Haskell's Dallas, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; St. Louis, Missouri; and Livermore, California. The addition of these new team members coincides with Haskell’s recent announcement that it would fortify the Dallas and Salt Lake City offices to join the corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, as Regional Operations Centers.

Project Executives are responsible for job profit and client satisfaction throughout the project and beyond, as well as all aspects of project performance, including business development, design, construction, financial, schedule, quality, contractual and administrative. This person will also be responsible for maintaining balance and equity between design and construction.

In the estimation of Dave Bartels, Vice President of Planning and Development for the CPG Delivery Group, the Project Executive is the leader calling plays in the huddle.

“They’re kind of like our franchise quarterbacks at Haskell,” Bartels said. “We wouldn’t be who we are without them.”

Haskell is a pioneer in Design-Build project delivery, and Project Executives play a vital role. While technical acumen is important, exemplary communication ability is the differentiator as Project Executives work with the internal team, senior leadership and the client at the highest levels to ensure project success.

“You can start construction before the drawings are complete and go faster because there’s one integrated team in charge of the program,” Bartels said. “When you have a really challenging project that has lots of different phases and is on an aggressive schedule, that's our bread and butter. That’s where we want to be.”

Haskell’s CPG Group comprises its No. 1-ranked Food & Beverage, Consumer Products and Beer, Wine & Spirits divisions, and provides deep knowledge and expertise to many Fortune 500 companies from more than 20 offices throughout the United States, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region.

As an employee-owned company with an ownership culture, Haskell team members work to benefit clients and each other, guided by the core values of Team, Excellence Service and Trust. Strategically, Haskell operates with the direction of six strategic pillars, the first of which is to “Provide Team Members the BEST Job of Their Lives,” manifests in a robust benefits package that includes a 401k match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which creates stock ownership for every full-time team member.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years experience and wide-ranging engineering and construction experience in consumer packaged goods.
