Already ranked No. 3 among companies worldwide by Training Magazine for its commitment to comprehensive and strategically aligned training and workforce development, Haskell is creating a new structure and several new positions to ensure that its team members are the best-educated in the industry.

The company has announced an immediate opening for a Director of Learning Standards and Practices, who will be responsible for strategic leadership of a competency-based approach to optimizing learning and development practices across the company.

“When it comes to training, we are already ahead of our peer companies,” said Brooke Jones-Chinetti, Haskell Director of Learning and Team Member Engagement. “We’re placing a heightened focus on learning and development and training going into 2022 with a definitive focus on various competencies. We're taking a competency-based approach to training across the company. This will position us for the future of training, not just in our industry but among the top companies globally.

“At the end of the day, it's about making sure that we're bringing the best people into Haskell and then ensuring that we are arming them with training that is on the bleeding edge. It's an investment that aligns directly to our strategic pillars of providing team members with the best job of their lives and ensuring operational excellence.”

The new director will establish and maintain governance practices to establish the integration and consistency of learning and development practices, which fall into three areas: core competencies, leadership and development training and competencies specific to a job or family of jobs.

They will lead the phased implementation of these practices and manage relations with executive-level leaders and key stakeholders to implement large-scale, complex learning and development practices and programs. Also, they will lead the Learning Standards & Practices Training Team to drive continuous improvement of training programs, systems and practices.

The team will partner closely with operations to drive an enterprise-wide, competency-based approach across the enterprise, assess the knowledge, skills, abilities that these roles need to be successful and create training based on those competencies. This approach is going to be going across the company.

“Our groups are full of incredibly knowledgeable subject matter experts who deliver training at various levels," Jones-Chinetti said. "Taking a consistent approach to building and delivering operational and technical offerings provides the opportunity for growth at every stage of our team members' careers.”

In addition to providing a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, Haskell operates with the direction of six strategic pillars, the first of which is to “Provide Team Members the BEST Job of Their Lives.” It offers a robust benefits package that includes a 401k match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which creates stock ownership for every full-time team member.
