David S. Kode is being promoted to Vice President of Group Architectural and Engineering (AE) Operations Administration for Haskell’s Infrastructure & Transportation (I&T) Group, the company has announced.
As the expanse of Haskell’s design services continues to grow, Kode’s experience leading design teams and managing client expectations for the Consumer & Packaged Goods (CPG) team will benefit the growth projections for I&T’s market expansion.
“I am looking forward to working in new markets on multiple project types,” Kode said. “I have a passion for Design Excellence and will provide a dedicated focus on efficient design solutions with the AE project teams. I’ll work closely with internal and external customers on high-quality, cost-effective design solutions. I look forward to inspiring and influencing new I&T AE team members to support their career goals.”
Kode has spent several years leading CPG as Design Director, supporting AE strategy, scope, budgets, and scheduling. Many prominent and repeat customers, including Frito-Lay, have benefitted from his even-keeled and knowledgeable approach to integrating design and construction functionality.
He joined Haskell as a Design Associate in 1997 after completing his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University. His studies included time abroad in Florence and completing the Architectural Technology Program with the State University College at Delhi. Over the course of his career, much of his focus has been on Food and Beverage projects, but he also has worked with numerous Aerospace clients, including Spirit Aerosystems, United Airlines, Gulfstream, and FlightSafety International, which now come under the I&T umbrella.
“Haskell has been home for me and my family,” he said. “Over the many years in the AE Group, I learned the Design-Build delivery approach through all facets of the Architecture, Engineering and Construction processes. I have experienced working on new and challenging project types across all market types and learned from Haskell’s industry-leading AE professionals and mentors to achieve design excellence.”
Kode’s diverse background and commitment to his team members’ growth and development will be a great benefit in the I&T Operations Administration role.
